#WhyNot - Amsterdam 

In a tie up with the Netherlands Tourism Board we brought the heart of Amsterdam to Shoreditch High Street, thanks to an immersive theatre experience unveiled to the public by a mysterious easyJet plane door.

Visitors were taken on a whistle-stop journey through contemporary Holland, with larger-than-life surroundings and plenty of surprises along the way
.

We wanted to make sure those unable to experience it first-hand were still able to see it via social - so also created an exciting 360 film – produced using the latest technology to capture immersive footage of the activation – and win their very own Why Not? adventure in a special flight giveaway.

The event proved a hit amongst curious passers by and on social media – with news crews heading to Shoreditch to report live from the scene and features produced on a number of online news outlets.

#WhyNot - Cote De Azure

Following the success of the Amsterdam event, we brought easyJet’s #WhyNot? immersive theatrical extravaganza back for a second time. This time the plane door opened in glamorous French Côte d’Azur where a romantic adventure played out for the audience. Inspired by the magic and splendour of classic Hollywood films like the Cary Grant and Grace Kelly classic, To Catch A Thief and, more recently, La La Land.

Visitors were instantly immersed in a musical love story bringing the sights, sounds, and flavours of Nice Carnival, Antibes Jazz Festival, and Cannes Film Festival and other locations to life on a vintage carousel! 

 

Again, we made sure the event wasn't just for the people who could attend IRL and love streamed the whole story onto social channels. Viewers were encouraged to comment when they saw the kiss in the story and they could win free flights to Nice.
